What If

Same eye. New tools.
What If is the name I use for my work with artificial intelligence. It started as a question and became a second language: surreal, dreamlike images I could never shoot with a camera.
I didn’t leave photography behind. I brought it with me. Light, framing, the patience to wait for the right moment: everything I learned behind the lens is still at the core of every image I make with AI.

The camera
It all began with film, art school and the darkroom. Then came digital, and years of portraits where the only tool that really mattered was attention.
The edit
Post-production taught me that an image is made twice: once when you shoot it, and again when you decide what it becomes.
The prompt
With Midjourney I started writing images instead of taking them. My storytelling background helped: a good prompt is a short scene, with a character, a light and a mood.
The moving image
Today I work with Krea, Magnific, Runway and Veo. Images gain texture, detail and motion, and the line between photograph, illustration and film keeps getting thinner.
How I work
I start from an idea, never from the tool. I write, I generate, I throw a lot away. I refine light, materials and details until the image looks like something I could have photographed in a world that doesn’t exist. The machine gives me options. The choices are mine.
A thought on AI
AI doesn’t replace the eye. It amplifies it. It can make a thousand images, but it can’t tell which one is true. That part is still human, and it’s the part I care about most. That’s also why every AI image I publish is clearly labeled as AI.
